Fenmen's water dogs accompany them to heaven

"'Humble race of men, Alike amphibious, by kind Nature's hand Form'd to exist on water or on land, But thinks, admitted to that equal sky, His faithful dog shall bear him company.'"

The Inundation; or The Life of a Fen-man: A Poem., by a Fen-Parson (Lynn: W. Whittingham, ca 1771). Quoted in Payne-Gallwey, p. 110.

When time allows I will update this site to include all issues of importance to Wildfowling. For now, I wanted to get the site up and running in time for the 2000/2001 season. Examples of items for content could include articles, wildfowl carving, reloading, club press releases and recipes etc. WILDFOWLING.COM aims to provide UK wildfowlers with the best and most up to date information about wildfowling on the net. Please e-mail the webmaster for suggestions of content and how best the site can be presented in order to service the wildfowling community. Please check back soon to see these improvements!

EAST COAST WILDFOWLING CONFERENCE - Took place on September 8th 2001

The Wash wildfowling clubs, led by King's Lynn and West Norfolk WA, held Englands first regional wildfowling conference on September 8th at Hillington near King's Lynn, Norfolk. KLWNWA Chairman, Ian Branford, explained that the idea came from the grassroots at the associations AGM, when they heard that there would be no national conference in 2001, and that they were particularly keen to see delegates from those clubs that do not regularly attend national conferences. The conference dealt with a variety of regional and national issues, and attracted sponsorship from 'Shooting Times' magazine, from the sporting website www.britannicgameshootingfishing.com, and from sporting goods supplier Attleborough Accessories.
