Sea Fishing from

Tales from fishing

Quick Quote from Rex Hunt.
"The wife say's I getting too much roof for the tool shed"
At present there are no charter
boats working from the fishing port of Kilkeel, this is due to legal
reasons, which I will not go into at present.
The slipway at Kilkeel is excellent for all boats to be lunched at half to full tide with the consent of "Mr Michael Young" the Harbour Master, with the harbour having good parking facilities for your car and boat trailer.
BOAT
RIGS;-Boat
Rigs - Rigs for boat fishing tend to be more specialised than shore
rigs targeting specific species. This feature looks at six different
types that will the cover the majority of options for you, including
wreck fishing rigs, traces for major predators like tope, and basic
uptide and downtide rigs.
SHORE RIGS - The choice and design of rigs prompts more questions and arguments than just about any other angling topic. There are dozens of rig variations, but which ones do you really need to carry, and then what's the best way to construct rigs, and which components are the best choice?
THE PENNEL RIG - A pennel rig is not a main rig body designed to support separate hook lengths. It refers to a system of tying two hooks close together at the end of a normal hook trace.
